Dena Rivera has an expansive and rich history of achievements in the entertainment industry.
She has been one of the top professional back up singers in America touring with headliners like the Rascals and Jimmy Buffett….. And more than once. while with Buffet she sang on the Tonight Show hosted by Johnny Carson —
She has appeared in film and on television – in movies like 42 – The Jackie Robinson story -The Last Ride, Scary Movie 5 many more….
She has performed in Musical Theatre in productions like Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and the Little Shop of Horrors…
She also has written screenplays including the feature film BREAKING NEWS which has been sold to TV ONE NETWORK and will be entering production in the fall of 2016.
Dena directed the film VIGILANTE in 2015. The film went on to win an audience choice award at the International Black Film Festival in Nashville.
As a DIRECTOR…..Dena has a passion for images that tell a story and is hands-on, taking an active role in writing, participating in edits and most major aspects of her films.
